LE TRIBUTE MEZCAL
From the heart of Mexico and the heart of Agave Plant, we created LE TRIBUTE Mezcal. With its delicious smokey flavor, you won’t drink it, you’ll kiss it.
Ingredients
Mature Cenizo Silvestre Agave
Despite being a wild species, we plant two agave plants for each one that we harvest, thus guaranteeing long-term production. We also use 150% more agave than is necessary to produce the highest quality liquid.
Production process
A 1.5cm ‘jima'
The 'jima' is the cut of the agave leaves. While others are cut at 5cm, we cut ours at 1.5cm. The less that is cut, the less bitter the final liquid will be, although it is much more costly to produce. For this reason, we declare that LE TRIBUTE mezcal is ‘puro corazón’; because we keep the heart of the agave plant, the part which contains the highest level and quality of sugar.
Cooked in traditional volcanic stone ovens
All wood used for cooking the agave is Holm Oak, which provides the mezcal’s characteristic smoky flavor.
Artisanal
All production is carried out entirely by hand: the harvesting of the agave plant and its transport, the stone ovens and the production of the ovens, the grinding of the agave, and the packaging and labeling of the product.
Made in Mexico
Our mezcal is made following the traditional method in Durango, Mexico. Its production is regulated by the strict official Mexican standard, and it is produced under the NOM-D248G. Alan Hernández, our Maestro Mezcalero, is in charge of controlling the process under the unique and exclusive recipe of LE TRIBUTE, which is made in the plant of Bosscal Company, our Mexican partner.
Mixing options
Naked Beet
30 ml Le Tribute Mezcal
30 ml Aperol
30 ml Yellow Chartreuse
30 ml fresh lime juice
10 ml simple syrup
1 barspoon Le Tribute Mezcal infused with beetroot*
Garnish: NO
Shake all ingredients except beetroot-infused mezcal in ice-filled shaker.
Serve straight up in cocktail coupette and float a barspoon of Le Tribute
mezcal infused with beetroot. Give consumer a small spoon on the
side, to allow them to mix the float with the rest of the drink if they so desire.
Smoking Cure
40 ml Le Tribute Mezcal
30 ml fresh lime juice
10 ml honey syrup*
15 ml simple syrup
1 piece fresh ginger
1/2 barspoon peaty scotch infused with pickled mango**
30 ml Le Tribute Ginger Beer
Garnish: ginger peel or crystallized ginger candy
Muddle fresh ginger in the bottom of the shaker. Add other ingredients except
Le Tribute Ginger Beer and shake in ice-filled shaker.
Serve in ice-filled thin Collins glass and top up with Le Tribute Ginger Beer
Mezcal Martini
40 ml Le Tribute Mezcal
40 ml sweet white wermouth
1/2 barspoon Aperol
5 drops of Lemon Juice
Garnish: NO
Stir all ingredients in ice-filled mixing glass.
Serve straight-up in cocktail coupette.
